Most cooling comforters do one thing: wick heat away. The MellowSleep CloudControl™ does something more interesting — its dual-layer construction uses a cooling outer shell that dissipates heat combined with an inner insulating layer that activates only when body temperature drops. In theory, it regulates rather than simply cools.
After 60 nights of testing, we can say: it works. Not perfectly, but better than most single-layer alternatives in its price range.

The dual-layer design actually shows in the lab data: the CloudControl™ outperforms the category average on breathability and long-term heat management (4-hour mark). The PCM treatment is doing real work.

Sleep Trial: 14 Nights per Tester
Hot sleeper (72°F room): Noticeably cooler than previous down alternative. The 4-hour heat management score held up well — no heat buildup at 3 AM that typically woke them.
